I have had the pleasure of working with Roni on various projects on set and personally for over a decade. 

She is a gift to actors, and the producers blessed to hire her. Roni has an attention to detail that is second to none AND she listens to her actors. Whatever makes you feel good she finds and crafts to fit you perfectcly while staying in line with the needs of the character. 

She has a gift for finding things that make you look and feel like a million bucks while staying firmly within budget. In this industry, that is magic!

My name is Valerie Pettiford and I have been a working Actress and Producer for the stage, Small and Large screens for over 46 years. In those years, I have been blessed and honored to work with the best Costume Designers from around the world. They are treasures to me. My latest treasure is Roni Burks, who designs for our hit TV Series “The Family Business”. She comes with so much talent, creativity, professionalism, and grace, the likes of which I haven’t seen in a while. As a result of her brilliance, she has become my go-to Designer/Stylist for all my outside projects.  

For me, Costume designing plays a very important part in the development of my characters. It completes my process or in more than one occasion, dictates it and I need someone who has the ability on all levels to help me achieve that. Roni Burks does just that and more.

My name is Nikaya ND Brown Jones and I am the CEO of Tri Destined Studios and also the showrunner of The Family Business in its 5th Season. Black Hamptons in its 2nd Season and our latest project just completed The Family Business New Orleans.

I have had the pleasure of working with Costume designer Roni Burks for  over 2 decades on various projects and for the last five years on three of my television shows for BET as mentioned above.
